Faith to change!
Throughout this Easter season we have been exploring what it means to live as an Easter Sunday Christian in a Good Friday world. Living out our faith in this broken and difficult world can be a true challenge. The good news for us is that the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is at work in you and me today! (see Ephesians 1:19-20)
Across the weeks we have considered the example of the early disciples. Thomas grew into an authentic faith in spite of honest doubts. Mary Magdalene was sustained by faith even when her heart had been broken. Peter had faith when he didn’t have a clue. Philip had faith enough to share with others.
This week we will examine the life of the Apostle Paul, who had the faith to change. Change is not easy, especially personal change. If we are going to change it will take faith, and the help of the Holy Spirit. Paul is a wonderful example of how God’s Spirit can work real, lasting change in one’s life.
What kind of changes would you like to make in your life? What’s holding you back? Let’s ask God for the faith to change!
Striving to be Faithful,
